You don't have to be on the floor at Mayhem to be part of the moment. The Mayhem Athlete community spans the globe, and we want to give everyone a chance to be involved. Sign up for the Online Mayhem Classic, compete on the same workouts as the pros, and be part of something bigger, no matter where you train.
Want to compare your fitness and workout times with the fittest? This is your shot. The Online Mayhem Classic is an online competition where athletes around the world compete on the same programming as the in-person Mayhem Classic, designed by Rich Froning and the Mayhem Athlete team.
All workouts are structured so they can be performed in your typical CrossFit gym and/or well-outfitted home gym.
This division is for the athletes who have performed previous CrossFit Open workouts as prescribed with no scales or modifications and feel confident in performing most to all workouts Rx'd in their gym. There are no age restrictions for this division.
This division is for the athlete who may be new or only has a few years of CrossFit experience and often times needs to scale movements. Athletes in this division can expect to see a modified version of workouts.
Note: The Scaled division is also considered Rx'd for Masters 55+ athletes.
When the competition ends, athletes are ranked by their final score and divided into 4 tiers, called flights. Think of it like finishing a race and being grouped with everyone who finished around the same time as you.
Each flight competes for its own prizes, which means you're not just up against the top 1% of athletes β you have a real shot at winning within your tier. The better you perform, the higher the flight you land in, and the bigger the prize pool you're competing for.
Winners from each flight receive:
Product prizes from our partners at Red Bull, Qalo, STRIKE MVMNT and Mayhem Nation.
The Online Mayhem Classic uses open scoring with transparent leaderboard updates every 48 hours throughout the competition window.
All scores must be submitted by Saturday April 25 at midnight CT. The leaderboard will be finalized by Monday, May 4th.
01Open scoring throughout the competition. All decisions made by video review are final. Penalties will be laid out per each workout.
02Standards will be laid out per each workout when they are released, in conjunction with the in-person Mayhem Classic.
03Filming is only required if you think you can win your division. YouTube videos will be requested after competition for those in contention. Video is NOT required to win 2nd, 3rd, or 4th flight.
04A judge for each workout is encouraged but not required. The Mayhem team will review scores and fix any user-entry errors that cause issues on the leaderboard.
05If no video is provided and you are in contention for 1st place prize money, the prize will go to the next person in line who has a valid video submission.
06Submit all scores in the Mayhem Athlete app (also SugarWOD) in the "Online Mayhem Classic" track. A score sheet will be provided in each workout in-app.
